Teachers & Doors
We all search for the open door, one which leads us to be happy, and fulfilled. We walk
the path searching for doors we don’t know how to open, finally just wishing someone would open them for us. But we get lazy, frustrated, and put ourselves on autopilot. Some of us are lucky, and wake up or get an itch to change, go for it, leap, start, believe! Yet for most of us, this does not happen, and if it does, it lasts up to a week and then the routine of life and survival kicks back in.
LIFE HAS A LIFE OF ITS OWN!
And life, may seem as if it leads us, but its path only manifests as our feet walk its rugged roads, hills and slopes. So many of us search for another on our path, one who will lead the way, or leave footprints for us to follow, and many times we find we are disappointed that the one who walks before us does not push us through the wilderness towards open doors, but drags us. Lucky are the ones who find a true mentor, who does not teach but help us learn. One who does not see for us, but allows us to open our eyes, one who does not lead us behind him, but stands firm behind us and pushes us. One who does not open the door but gives us the key. Many can attempt to teach, but only few are true teachers.
A TRUE TEACHER DOES NOT GIVE YOU FRUIT BUT SHOWS YOU THE TREE!
A true mentor, does not expect you to be as he is, but sees the spark of greatness in you and nurture it. He does not strive for perfection, but shares his own failures, to spare you of yours, and let you see the doors, you should not open. He walks behind his pupils to secure their success and catch them if they fall. A true teacher lets no one fall behind, and never looks back to see if there is anyone to catch him.
A GOOD PUPIL IS ONE WHO NOT ONLY LEARNS FROM HER|HIS TEACHER BUT BECOMES ONE AS WELL.
Brother of mine, thank you for being my teacher, I can only strive to be what you already are.
